What is FANBEST?

FANBEST is an abbreviation for Funding Atlantic Network for Blue Economy Technology Transfer. The FANBEST is an Interreg project designed to support and scale SMEs in the marine sector across the Atlantic regions including Portugal, France, Spain, UK and Ireland.

FANBEST is aimed to foster the technology transfer to SMEs in blue biotechnology and exploitation of marine resources by creating a network of public and private entities focused on the fund raising that make possible the start and scale-up phase. Funds such venture, business angels, participatory loan or crowdfunding will be offered by tools and services, so that the technologies and innovations “made in the Atlantic regions” can reach the market and turned into successful business projects.

FANBEST Project, is inviting entrepreneurs, SMEs, and start-ups involved in innovative blue economy projects to take part in a free business coaching and networking programme with experts from the Atlantic Area, led by Amita Guneratnam and her colleague Laura Foley at Munster Technological University.
