AspBAN EU Accelerator Project
The Killybegs Marine Cluster together withDonegal County Council (DCC) are strategic partners in an EU funded programme called AspBAN, which in an abbreviation for Atlantic Smart Ports Blue Acceleration Network. Commencing on the 30th September, AspBAN are running a new Accelerator programme. This programme is specifically focusing on start-ups within the Blue Economy.
What is AspBAN?
The Atlantic Smart Ports Blue Acceleration Network (AspBAN) is a project that has been awarded funding by the European Union. AspBAN helps EU Atlantic ports, such as those within Donegal to work as blue economy hubs. The project will look to support 80 innovative start-ups in 30 Atlantic ports attracting an initial €6m direct private investment.
Who can apply?
The program is open for startups that want to be active within the European blue innovation ecosystem. If you have at least a prototype ready and are ready to raise money, then it’s for you.
What Sectors Does it Focus on?
AspBAN focuses on a range of sectors across the Blue Economy sector, including Ports and Ports activities, Marine Infrastructure, Fisheries, Marine Tourism and more.
