Mooney Boats Limited was founded by the late Michael Mooney in 1960s after serving an apprenticeship in the BIM boatyard in Killybegs. Today Mooney Boats Ltd is a family run business and is the largest Ship building and restoration company In Ireland.
Mooney Boats Limited specialise in Boat Building, Refurbishment & Repairs, Dry-Docking, and Maintenance of Marine and Industrial products. Mooney Boats Limited is an ISO 9001:2015 quality accredited company providing specialist services which include engineers for Welding & Fabrication in steel, aluminium & stainless, Turner – Fitters, Hydraulics Engineers, Electrical Engineers & Carpenters.
Our company provide services to the Fishing Industry, Marine Offshore Industry, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas & General Engineering. The company offer dry-docking facilities for vessel up to 600 Tons and a 75 Ton Travel Hoist for Yachts and the Leisure Sector.
In addition to the marine production service, Mooney Boats Limited also have the largest Marine Chandlery Store in Ireland where we stock a broad range of Marine related products such, as Paints, Electrical Equipment, Water Pumps, Valves & Fittings, Power & Hand Tools, Protective Clothing, PPE, Marine Chandlery, Hardware, Steel, Aluminium & Stainless Steel plating and profiles and a wide range of marine safety equipment.
